Vehicle Safety Check
PARTS TO LOOK OUT FOR
Seats and seat belts
When driving, comfort in the seat is a must, it contributes to reaction time and quite possibly coordination(writer is an inexperienced driver). "A loose legged stool dropped the King", as such it's important to make sure that one's height is sufficiently compensated for, adjusting the driving seat in accordance with one's height will greatly improve the driving experience. Comfort well taken care of, a driver proceeds to think of the next prudent and secure thing to do...put on a seat belt.
What To Look Out For?
You have to make sure that the seats are adjustable especially the drivers seat. Seatbelts don't have to be stiff. They have to be swift in movement and when fastened, they can't latch out till the buckle pretensioner is pressed.

Worn Tyres
Tyres are an integral part of a moving vehicle, needless to say a steering wheel will inevitably direct the automobile, tyres however give it responsive action. Traction grip or friction is only efficient when tyres are in their prime condition. Never opt for second hand tyres when you can afford brand new ones even if it means saving a Nickle and dime.
What To Look Out For?
Slick tyre surface, threads tearing on tyre surface, basically it is tyres losing their grip all together.
Faulty Brakes
At a mileage of 29000km a vehicle should go a major service where the braking system is checked and serviced if need be. Statistics may vary from place to place but it stands to reason that in highways most accidents occur due to faulty braking systems giving way. Changing brake pads should always be a priority when they are worn out.
What To Look Out For?
Worn out brake pads, unsecured calipers, leaking hydraulics(brake fluids). The emergency brake system should also be in pristine condition cause that is the final resort of stopping a high speeding car.
Steering Rack
A steering rack is what controls the steering wheel's commands to the front tyres, as such it is supposed to be in good optimum condition. Just like brake pads, a steering rack should be checked and serviced or changed if need arises. Like most service parts never settle for a second hand steering rack.
What To Look Out for?
Stiffness in steering, leaking power steering fluid, grinding noise when steering and burning oil smells when vehicle is in motion.
